We are . . .
individuals whose families have lived in Pender County for generations
and newcomers alike recognize the wonderful quality of life our county
provides. Perhaps the most important asset recognized by all residents
is our natural environment. Whether it is our attractive rural
landscape, our rivers and creeks, or that gem entrusted to us -- our
coastal waters and wildlife -- we all want to preserve and maintain what
we have. The challenge for all of us is to retain our natural heritage
for future generations in the face of rapidly increasing growth and
development. To address these issues, PenderWatch was founded in 1986 by concerned citizens as a grass roots, non-profit, all volunteer environmental education and advocacy group. Since that time PenderWatch has grown and increased its efforts to achieve our mission.
As a grassroots organization, PenderWatch is always looking for comments and suggestions from the citizens of Pender County. If you would like to send a comment directly to the president of PenderWatch, click here.
